Today, as per a statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin will self-isolate as the development comes after COVID-19 cases were detected in his inner circle.

Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rakhmon disclosed the news. He said that Putin informed him about the incident where a few COVID-19 cases were detected in his circle. “President Putin will observe a self-isolation regime for a certain period of time,” Rakhmon added. In addition, due to this new development, Putin will not be able to attend a regional summit in person later this week in Dushanbe.

Immediately after the news of President Putin’s isolation, the Kremlin cited that Putin is ‘absolutely healthy’. It has been informed that President Putin has also taken a COVID-19 test. However, the result has not yet been disclosed.
