Shikhar Dhawan Crosses 6000 IPL Runs, Engraves His Name On Second Position After Virat Kohli

PBK opener Dhawan reached the milestone of 6000 IPL runs in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium while playing the match with CSK, joining the Virat Kohli list


Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan achieved a historical landmark as he becomes the second one after Virat Kohli to complete 6,000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shikhar Dhawan, Punjab Kings opener achieved this milestone on Monday while he was playing the match with Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The left-handed batsman reached the mark at his 200th match in the IPL and also he is the eighth cricketer to play a maximum number of IPL matches. Today, in the match, the Punjab Kings star needed 2 runs to surpass the landmark and with that, he entered Virat Kohli’s list of maximum runs. Taking to the runs tally, Dhawan is one step behind Virat Kohli who has scored 6,402 runs in 215 IPL matches.
