Ace cricketer and Former Indian cricket team captain, Sourav Ganguly has been hospitalized after complaining of chest pain on Saturday, 2nd January. As per reports, the present BCCI President is stable and will be able to stage a speedy recovery.
Ganguly is admitted to Woodlands hospital in Kolkata and on Wednesday 30 December, he visited Eden Gardens to discuss preparations for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with CAB President Avishek Dalmiya. Following a workout session on Friday evening, Ganguly complained of chest pain and his family took him to the hospital when the problem recurred. After getting an angioplasty done, Ganguly is said to be discharged today itself. Saroj Mondal, a doctor at the city’s SSKM hospital has reached Woodlands Hospital to attend Ganguly.
Since 2019, Ganguly has been the president of BCCI. Many Indian cricketers of high profile took to social media and wished for his speedy recovery. The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee tweeted, wishing the speedy recovery of Ganguly. “Sad to hear that Sourav Ganguly suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family”, added Banerjee.
