Chennai: On Sunday, India successfully has done the test-firing of its supersonic cruise missile BrahMos. The test was done from the Navy’s indigenous stealth destroyer INS Chennai. The missile also strikes a target in the Arabian Sea.
BrahMos is an essential attacking weapon that will assure the invincibility of warships by connecting naval surface targets at long-span marks. It is noteworthy that India conducted a successful experimental test of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from a launch site in Odisha on Wednesday. BrahMos has a wide range of over 400 km.
It is together formulated by DRDO and Russia’s prominent aerospace enterprise NPOM, the BrahMos missile is a ‘medium-range Ramjet supersonic cruise’ weapon that can be launched from submarines, warships, fighters, and land. BrahMos is already with the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. It is deemed to be the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile.
