Social media platform, Koo has launched a “talk to type” feature, which allows users to post on the site without having to type from the keyboard.
The talk to type feature is available for all the languages available in the app. The new feature will be a boon for the users who are not quite comfortable in typing words, plus verbally conveying the message will become a lot easier and faster.
Before the launch of the feature, users used to type and post about their thoughts and expressions, their feelings, opinions by text. They could also post images, videos by clicking the create button.
As the app put the new feature, users could verbally record a message which then will translate into text. The users will be able to use the feature through a new icon depicting a human face. Once they click on it, they can say what they want to type and the text will be shown on the screen.
The platform adapted as the Indian version of the Twitter app, which allowed users to post on the site without using their keyboard has over 5.5 million users in India and currently supports six regional languages including, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali beside English.
“Everyone does not know how to use the English keyboard, so they hesitate to share their thoughts. This will be a game-changer for those people” told Koo Co-founder Mayank Bidawatka.
