On Friday, India’s efforts to fight against the Covid-19 virus by administering over 100 crore vaccine doses were praised by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Bill has earlier appreciated the country’s fight against the coronavirus. In his tweet, he considered the achievement to be a “testament” to India’s ability in terms of large-scale manufacture.

Gates has tweeted, “India has administered 1 billion vaccine doses, a testament to its innovation, ability to manufacture at scale, and the efforts of millions of health workers backed by CoWIN.” The tweet came a day after the 100 crore mark in the vaccination drive was crossed by India. He also tagged Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya, PM Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and the Union health ministry in his post.

Earlier in August, the Microsoft co-founder congratulated India, ahead of 1 crore Indians receiving their vaccine jabs against the viral infection. India achieved a significant breakthrough on Thursday after 100 crore people were vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus. This stands to be the largest vaccination campaign since its beginning on January 19.
