Today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the Centre over the rising unemployment rate in the nation. Taking to Twitter, Gandhi pointed out that unemployment is a ‘deep crisis’ which should be solved by PM Modi. Rubbishing all the excuses, Gandhi demanded answers from the Centre.
Over the last few months, Congress has been targeting the Centre on several issues including, the handling of the coronavirus crisis, economic conditions in the country, and unemployment. The country is grappling with the new wave of COVID-19. The new strain, Omicron is said to be highly transmissible as compared to other variants.
As of today, India reported 1,68,063 fresh COVID-19 cases, which is 6.4 per cent lower than yesterday. The country also reported 277 deaths in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus.
