Prime Minister, Narendra Modi reprimanded the  West Bengal Chief Minister for labeling BJP candidates as outsiders, saying that it is an insult to the ideals of the great freedom fighter, Subhas Chandra Bose and against the democratic institution of our nation.

In today’s rally, PM Modi replied to the challenge given by the TMC party for Mamata being staging Varanasi as an election spot for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. PM Narendra Modi uttered, “People of Varanasi, Kashi, Uttar Pradesh are my people, who are so large-hearted that they will welcome you with open hands and will not call you an outsider or a tourist”.

Taking a jibe at Mamata Banerjee, ”Didi’s party is saying now that she will be contesting from Varanasi in 2024 Lok Sabha election.” From the statement, PM Modi has asserted two points. One, that Mamata Banerjee has accepted her defeat in Bengal. Secondly, she is already looking for a place for herself outside the state.”

Perhaps, Mamata must have drifted towards Varanasi, due to the construction of the waterways connecting Haldia and Varanasi by the BJP Government, said Modi while giving a probable reason for Mamata’s move.
