NANCY JAISWAL: Vietnam Vice President Mrs. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh called on the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan
Welcoming the Vietnamese President to the country, the President said that India and Vietnam are obligated by a rich history. Today, India-Vietnam relations are defined as an inclusive Strategic Partnership. India is honored to share a strong development partnership with Vietnam. India is keen to foster bigger capacity building in Vietnam through its flagship Technical and Economic Cooperation program.
The President further mentioned that Vietnam is important to India’s Act East Policy and its Indo-Pacific vision. Congratulating Vietnam for assuming the Chairmanship of ASEAN and for becoming a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. He added that India looks forward to working with Vietnam to develop its global partnership.
