Naftali Bennett, the Prime Minister of Israel, addressed the weekly cabinet meeting today. In the meeting, he said that the Delta pandemic is continuing to spread quickly around the world and this mutation is much more contagious than its predecessors, the world is being colored red.

PM Bennett mentioned that their goal as the Government of Israel is to safeguard life and daily routines and added that the government has already taken various steps. Stating the importance of vaccination, the PM of Israel also mentioned that they are maintaining a continuous supply of vaccines and are stepping up enforcement.

At the moment, there are over a million Israelis who could get vaccinated, and they are endangering themselves, their family and friends, and the livelihood of those around them. He urged them to get vaccinated.

The Prime Minister of Israel stated that they should understand that the vaccines or masks alone will not beat the Delta mutation, but masks plus vaccines will beat the Delta mutation. He also urged them to take care of the older citizens as they are still in a vulnerable situation and added that it is a requirement, not a recommendation.

From Wednesday arrival to events, weddings, and bar mitzvahs will be possible for people who have been vaccinated. The Prime Minister also mentioned they are preparing an orderly plan and will announce everything in an orderly manner, emphasizing that their main goal is to smoothly open the school year.

He sent his best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to all Muslim and Druze citizens of Israel on behalf of the Government of Israel and requested them to be cautious. Bennett also wished a happy holiday to citizens of neighboring countries especially Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan.

Keeping the current situation of Germany in mind the PM of Israel conveyed condolences over the loss of life and widespread devastation and mentioned that Israel is ready to render such assistance as may be requested.
