Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) awardees. He firstly congratulated all the winners of the Prime Minister National Children Award. However, he expressed his regret of conducting the session virtually due to the ongoing pandemic.
Addressing them, PM Modi praised all the award winners for their efforts and work at the time of COVID-19. “The work you have done at such a young age is astonishing,” he said. Praising the young audience, he further said, “You are the future of India. Among you, tomorrow the players of India, scientists, leaders big CEOs of the country will see the tradition of increasing the pride of India.”
He highlighted that the young generation and youth of the nation have played a significant role in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. “The children of our nation was quick enough to have the habit of washing their hands for 20 seconds with soap,” PM Modi said. He mentioned that they are the ‘Pride of India’.
Commenting on the occasion, PM Modi mentioned how big and effective a result comes when a small idea is associated with a right action. Praising the efforts of the children, he said that their work would inspire other people across the nation to fulfill their dreams. “Your success has inspired many people. Your friends, companions, and other children of the country who will be watching you on TV will also move ahead with inspiration from you, ” he said.
The Prime Minister interacted with Dakshina from Karnataka, who was awarded for making multipurpose digital technology for up-gradation in farming techniques. PM Modi was intrigued with the innovative approach in the agrarian culture thought by the young mind. Innovation in agriculture is the need of the hour, the Prime Minister said.
However, Modi reminded the children not to be lost in the joy of this success. He said that once they leave the auditorium people will praise them for their marvellous work. Despite this, they should not forget that the compliment is due to their ‘karma’. Furthermore, he urged the children to take a pledge of modesty. “When you work for the country, the magnitude of what you do will increase in size manifold. Your achievements should come with enhanced modesty,” he concluded.
In the meeting, there were 32 applicants from the various states and Union Territories of India. All the applicants under different categories of ‘Bal Shakti Puraskar’, have been selected for PMRBP-2021. Union Women and Child Development Minister, Smriti Irani was also present on the occasion.
